Zend 200-530 : Zend PHP 5.3 Certification Exam
The Zend 200-530 (Zend PHP 5.3 Certification) exam is a 90-minute exam with 70 questions total that will require knowledge of PHP functions, concepts, and technologies. Earning the Zend PHP 5.3 certification will provide an adequate measure of knowledge and experience using PHP and will give prominence to a candidate's resume and portfolio. The exam is only available in the English language.
Exam preparation includes the PHP 5.3 training course, which is offered as a recorded training and online instructor-led training course. Taking this course will give candidates access to practice questions and an exam voucher. An official study guide can also be downloaded at no cost from the Zend website. The exam must be taken at a certified Pearson VUE testing center, located worldwide, and registration can occur in the Zend section of the Pearson VUE website.
Ten key subject areas will be tested. Participants should be firstly knowledgeable of basic PHP features, such as control structures, extensions, and operators. Database (SQL, transactions, joins, etc.) and security (configuration, encryption, injection, etc.) knowledge will be tested, while web and I/O features should be understood. Participants must have adequate knowledge of data format/types and object-oriented programming concepts, such as instantiation, reflection, exceptions, inheritance, and late static binding.
