Worldwide, there are more than 3, 500 IT professionals who hold a certification from The Open Group Certified Architect (Open CA) program. These professionals come from more than 60 countries and represent 160 companies. Certification can be gained in IT Architecture, in roles such as procurement and project proposals. Additionally, Open CA will be adding Business Architecture and Enterprise Architecture certifications as possibilities in the future.
Unlike other certification programs, which assign certifications based on exam scores, Open CA certifications require no training courses and no exams to be completed. Instead, candidates must provide a written application and pass a series of interviews with the certification board. The application required for the Open CA certification consists of a comprehensive certification package that is designed to highlight all of the candidate's previous experience and their skill level.
Open CA certification is ideal for many candidates because the it is a globally recognized and vendor neutral certification, which gives it much respect from other IT professionals. The certification also enhances a candidate's ability to obtain coveted job positions with advanced salaries and responsibilities. Employers like to hire employees with an Open CA certification because they know they are hiring someone who can handle the critical roles and responsibilities that the employers need them to fill.
