Symantec 250-512 : Administration of Symantec Data Loss Prevention 11.5 Exam
The Symantec 250-512 (Administration of Symantec Data Loss Prevention 11.5) exam is intended for candidates who are completing their Symantec certification for the category of Administration of Symantec Data Loss Prevention 11.5. The exam consists of 80-90 questions that will require the test participant to demonstrate his or her knowledge of the Data Loss Prevention 11.5 project and be able to apply this knowledge to tasks such as installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting. The ideal test certification candidate will have work experience with this product as it relates to risk management, product deployment, and technical evaluation or have at least six months experience administering Data Loss Prevention 11.5.
Throughout this 105-minute exam, candidates will answer questions that are categorized into four main topic areas. These topic areas are as follows:
- Overview and Architecture (e.g. Describing basic features and functionality)
- Installation and Configuration (e.g. Describing a variety installation and configuration processes)
- Management and Reporting (e.g. Describing "how-to" management tasks)

Each exam topic area will ask the examinee to effectively describe specific tasks and details related to that general skill area. To best prepare for success on the 250-512 exam, candidates should utilize Symantec's Data Loss Prevention courses prior to registration. Examinees with the most exposure to course material and field experience will have the best opportunity to gain their certification.
