Symantec 250-402 : Administration of Altiris Client Management Suite 7.1 Exam
Symantec is presenting the Symantec 250-402 (Administration of Altiris Client Management Suite 7.1) exam as part of the certification process for the Altiris Client Management Suite 7.1 product. This 90-minute exam will test the candidate's knowledge and skill level in the areas of product overview and architecture, installation & configuration, management & reporting, and basic troubleshooting.
Before taking this exam, it is recommended that candidates have at least 6-12 months experience in the use of Symantec Management Platform and Altifis Client Management Suite. Candidates should also be familiar with various Microsoft Windows applications including SQL, Active Directory, Windows Desktop, and Windows Server administration and maintenance.
The Symantec 250-402 exam, which is available in Japanese and English, will feature the following exam topics: Overview and Architecture, Installation and Configuration, Patch Management, Inventory Solution, Software Management, Remote Management and Assistance, and Deployment Solution within Altiris Client Management Suite 7.1. The exam will present the candidate with a range of 70-80 questions that will cover specific tasks and applications of each highlighted topic category. Exam participants will have 90 minutes in which to complete this exam. In preparation for this exam, Symantec suggests that candidates utilize the Altiris and Symantec Management Platform 7.1 5-day and 3-day courses associated with the Symantec 250-402 exam.
