Symantec 250-365 : Data Protection Administration for Windows using NetBackup 6.5 Exam
The training course, Veritas NetBackup 6.5 for Windows, Administration, is recommended prior to taking the Symantec 250-365: Data Protection Administration for Windows using NetBackup 6.5 exam. Additionally, candidates should have at least 12 months of hands-on work experience using NetBackup and experience which has given them familiarity with administering and configuring Microsoft Windows 2000/2003 operating system. An additional study guide and practice exam are available to help prepare candidates for the exam. All of the materials are optional, and none are a guarantee to a passing score.
The total allotted time for the Symantec 250-365 exam is 120 minutes. The exam consists of 85-95 questions, and the exam candidate must score a 65% in order to pass. Passing the exam and accepting the Symantec Certification Agreement lead to this level's certification.
During the Symantec 250-365 exam, participants will be asked to verify hardware and operating prerequisites. They will also need to install NetBackup master server, media server software, and NetBackup Operations Manager (NOM). Familiarity with the functions associated with BMR, NetBackup Vault, NetBackup Access Control (NBAC), Snapshot Client, NDMP, NOM, NetBackup LiveUpdate, and clustering are also required.
Additionally, candidates should be familiar with concepts relating to configuring, maintaining, tuning, and troubleshooting NetBackup. They should have advanced skill in the aspects of performing day-to-day operations, including running reports using NetBackup Support Utility.
