Symantec 250-314 : Administration of Symantec Backup Exec 2010 Exam
In order to pass the Symantec 250-314: Administration of Symantec Backup Exec 2010 exam with a required 67% or higher, potential exam candidates must be familiar with the core elements and technical knowledge required for installing, configuring, administering, maintaining, and troubleshooting Symantec Backup Exec 2010. Passing the exam and accepting the Symantec Certification Agreement will lead to certification.
There are between 70 and 80 questions on the Symantec 250-314 exam, and they must be answered within 105 minutes. Participants have the option to take the exam either in English or Japanese. Each participant should have at least six months of previous work experience with Windows and Symantec Backup Exec 2010 and prior familiarity with Windows system and network administration. Participants must have previous knowledge with all of the following product documentation: Symantec Backup Exec 2010 Customer Licensing Guide, Symantec Backup Exec 2010 Administrator's Guide, Symantec Backup Exec 2010 Administrator's Guide Addendum, Symantec Backup Exec 2010 Utility (BEUTILITY) Guide, and Symantec Backup Exec 2010 Readme First Release Notes.
Participants should be able to describe the media, media set, and media catalog concepts contained within Symantec Backup Exec 2010, as well as how to perform device and media operations. Other required skill sets include, but are not limited to, encrypting and compressing data, creating and managing media vaults, creating backup templates and policies, configuring a restore job including available options, tuning Symantec Backup Exec 2010 for optimal performance, and configuring Central Admin Server Option (CASO).
