SOA S90.18 : Fundamental SOA Security Exam
The SOA S90.18: Fundamental SOA Security exam has a duration of one hour. Passing the exam at one of the Prometric Testing Centers is required in order to gain the certification of Certified SOA Security Specialist.
Taking the SOA S90.18 exam requires understanding of the fundamentals related to securing services and service-oriented solutions. This knowledge includes concepts, patterns, and industry technologies. To prepare and review these concepts, exam candidates are encouraged to attend an instructor-led workshop that includes Course Module 18: Fundamental SOA Security or to prepare by using the Module 18 Self-Study Kit.
The SOA S90.18 exam may focus on common SOA security practices and service security controls. Additionally, security and the service-oriented architectural model, SOA security considerations for service and composition architectures, service interaction security patterns, and security implications of service-oriented principles are concepts with which the S90.18 candidate should be familiar.
Aspects relating to authentication, authorization, confidentiality, integrity mechanisms, PKI, digital certificates, certificate authorities, and single-sign on technologies are additional areas that potential S90.18 exam candidates should be knowledgeable in. Also, a candidate's understanding of the basic fundamental concepts associated with threats and attacks may be tested during the S90.18 exam.
