SOA S90.08 : Advanced SOA Design & Architecture Exam
Passing the SOA S90.08: Advanced SOA Design & Architecture exam is required in order to gain the Certified SOA Architect certification. The S90.08 exam itself takes one hour to complete at any of the Prometric Testing Centers worldwide. Prepared S90.08 exam candidates will be able to explain physical designs of service-oriented solutions. The exam focuses on service-oriented technology, combined application of design patterns, and how those things relate to the individual.
Prior to taking the exam, SOA recommends that the potential exam taker prepare through either Course Module 8: Advanced SOA Design & Architecture, led by an instructor, or through the Module 8 Self-Study Kit. Two textbooks are also available to help in exam preparation, "SOA Principles of Service Design" and "SOA Design Patterns."
Prepared candidates for the SOA S90.08 exam will be able to define a service-oriented architectural model. They will also be able to define SOA architecture types. Candidates should have a firm grasp on the fundamental and advanced SOA design patterns and the aspects relating to designing SOA with service agents and supporting multiple protocols. Additional concepts that may be examined during the S90.08 test include legacy encapsulation, ESB design, asynchronous and event-driven messaging, messaging routing, service data replication, and REST-inspired patterns.
