SOA S90.05 : SOA Technology Lab Exam
In order to obtain a certification as Certified SOA Consultant, Certified SOA Java Developer, or Certified SOA .NET Developer, a passing grade on the SOA S90.05: SOA Technology Lab is required. The S90.05 exam focuses on the fundamental parts of industry-standard Web languages and how they pertain to the creation of modern service-oriented solutions.
The SOA S90.05 exam is available at Prometric Testing Centers throughout the world and takes two hours to complete. Before taking the S90.05 exam, SOA recommends that candidates prepare themselves either with an instructor for the Course Module 5: SOA Technology Lab or the Module 5 Self-Study Kit. The textbook "Web Service Contract Design & Versioning for SOA" is recommended in order to prepare oneself for the S90.05 exam for those doing self-study.
One of the languages that exam candidates need to be familiar with is XML. Aspects relating to fundamental XML syntax and application, XML schema structure, and fundamental XML schema language elements will be tested during the S90.05 exam. Candidates should be familiar with WSDL definition structure and how WSDL relates to XML schema and WS-policy. Namespaces, XML schema, and WSDL definitions are additional concepts that may be tested during the S90.05 exam.
Also, candidates should be familiar with the fundamental WSDL language elements, SOAP message structure, fundamental SOAP language elements, HTTP methods and uniform contracts, and REST conventions and resources. Aspects relating to WS-BPEL process definition structure and its relationship to WSDL may be examined as well.
