SOA S90.03 : SOA Design & Architecture Exam
The SOA S90.03 SOA Design and Architecture exam is a 60-minute exam that covers the principles and characteristics of the service-oriented architectural model and design paradigm. It is offered through Prometric testing centers worldwide and can be applied toward eight different Certified SOA certifications, including Consultant, Analyst, Developer, and Specialist.
The in-class Module 3: SOA Design & Architecture training course, a one-day training course that will teach candidates the knowledge found on the exam, can be taken. Another option is purchase of the self-study training kit, which includes the SOA Principles of Service Design textbook and several other study resources. A course module fact sheet can also be downloaded from the SOA website.
Participants must possess a solid understanding of the SOA service-orientation model, related services and service capabilities, and the service-orientation design paradigm. In addition, participants should have knowledge of loose coupling, composition runtime roles/responsibilities, service state deferral, the "contract first" design, service discoverability, and basic design patterns. Specific information about each concept should be adequately understood.
