SAS A00-281 : SAS Certified Clinical Trials Programmer Using SAS 9 Accelerated Version Exam
The SAS A00-281 (SAS Certified Clinical Trials Programmer Using SAS 9 Accelerated Version) exam is a 2-hour examination with 71 multiple choice/short answer questions. It is only available to candidates who have completed the Certified Base Programmer for SAS 9 certification test. Successful completion with a minimum score of 70% will earn participants the Certified Clinical Trials Programmer Using SAS 9 certification.
Several training resources are available to candidates. In addition to the five SAS programming training courses in which candidates can enroll, four textbooks and publications can be purchased, documentations and guides can be downloaded, and a set of sample questions can be found at the SAS website. Registration can be completed online; the test must be taken in a classroom setting at anyone of the Prometric testing centers worldwide.
On the SAS A00-281 exam, participants will be tested on Clinical Trials processes, including data importing/exporting, management, and transformation, and all associated technologies needed to complete each task. In addition, participants should be knowledgeable of macro programming (including creating variables and debugging) and data structures (including data classes, CDISC, and xml). The ability to report Clinical Trials results and validate data reporting by using programming techniques and utilizing the log file is required.
