SAS A00-280 : SAS Certified Clinical Trials Programmer Using SAS 9 Exam
The SAS A00-280 (SAS Certified Clinical Trials Programmer Using SAS 9) exam is a 3-hour examination with 99 multiple choice/short answer questions. Participants who have not earned the Certified Base Programmer for SAS 9 credential must take this exam in order to receive the Certified Clinical Trials Programmer Using SAS 9 certification.
Different aspects of the clinical trials process will be tested. Several training courses are available to take in support of this exam, while numerous publications, guides, and documentations can be read for additional studying purposes. Details of all training resources can be found at the SAS website. Registration, through Prometric, can also occur at the SAS website. A passing score of 70% is required.
Participants should have a solid understanding of the processes and data structures of Clinical Trials, including the ability to interpret a Statistical Analysis Plan and describe the structure/purpose of the CDISC SDTM and ADaM data models. Participants must be able to import/export, access, manage, and transform Clinical Trials data. Creating data and knowing all related programs and technologies is a must. Additionally, participants should be savvy of result reporting and report validation, macro programming variables, and statistical procedures.
