The Oracle Certified Expert - Oracle Real Application Clusters 11g and Grid Infrastructure Administrator certification validates the unique and highly advanced skills set of IT professionals who are capable of configuring grid infrastructures in the 11g 2nd release, and able to install grids. Additionally, this certification documents candidates' capabilities with performing installations, configurations, and other operations with RAC databases.
There are two paths candidates can take to achieve the Oracle Certified Expert, Oracle RAC 11g and Grid Infrastructure Administrator certification. The first path requires two steps: (1) to hold a valid, prior certification as an Oracle Certified Professional with 11g Database Administration, and (2) successfully complete the Oracle Real Application Cluster 11g Release 2 and Grid Infrastructure Administration exam (IZ0-058).
The second path candidates may take to achieve this certification requires three steps: (1) the completion of an Oracle approved, certification subject matter specific training course, (2) successfully passing the IZ0-058 exam, and (3) submission of the Course Completion form, which documents the Oracle approved training course required for meeting certification requirements.
