Oracle 1z0-873 : MySQL 5 Database Administrator Certified Professional (Part I) Exam
The Oracle 1z0-873 MySQL 5 Database Administrator CP Exam is comprised of 71 questions in a 90 minutes timeframe. It is required for the Oracle Certified Professional, MySQL 5 Database Administrator certification, which recognizes that you have mastered the subject of server-related issues. A passing score of 66% is required.
Exam topics include Architecture, Starting/Stopping/Configuring MySQL, Client Programs for DBA Work, Character Set Support, Locking, Storage Simulators, Data Maintenance, the INFORMATION_SCHEMA Database, and Data Backup and Recovery Methods. Two training courses are available from Oracle. The Oracle 1z0-873 exam is only available in the English language.
Participants should have knowledge of the following:
1. Client/server overview, communication protocols, uses of disk space and memory, and other aspects of MySQL architecture.
2. Types of distributions, starting and stopping the SQL server, runtime configuration, log and status files, security-related configuration, an overview of administrative clients, client program limitations, and other aspects of DBA work.
3. Types of data table maintenance operations, client and utility programs for table maintenance, components of the INFORMATION_SCHEMA database, and different data recovery methods.
4. Performance issues, locking concepts, and the different types of storage simulators.
