Oracle 1z0-863 : Java Enterprise Edition 5 Web Services Developer Certified Professional Upgrade Exam
The Oracle 1z0-863 Java Enterprise Edition 5 Web Services Developer CP Upgrade exam is a 120-minute test with 48 questions total. A score of 60% is required to pass. This exam is required for the Oracle Certified Professional, Java EE 5 Web Services Developer certification, as an upgrade for developers who have been creating web services applications using Java technology components, including ones supported by the Glassfish Metro web service stack and the Java Enterprise Edition 5 platform.
To prepare, participants can enroll in the Creating Web Services Using Java Technology and Designing Java Web Services training courses. A practice exam is also available. The Oracle 1z0-863 exam is only available in the English language.
XML web service standards will be tested. Participants must be able to do such things as list and describe the encoding types used in a SOAP message, and explain the use of WSDL in Web services and define the processes of describing and publishing (as related to WSDL and UDDI).
JAX-WX must be well-understood. Participants should be able to describe its features and architectures, explain its use in building web services, and design/develop a web service using it. REST, JSON, API Web Services must be correctly described and compared. Participants should also have knowledge of the characteristics and services included in the J2EE platform.
In addition, basic security mechanisms will be tested, developing web services and related concepts, terms, requirements, and processes will be included, interoperability technologies must be correctly described, and the different aspects of design and architecture will be covered. Endpoint design and architecture concepts will also be included on the exam.
