Oracle 1z0-054 : Oracle Database 11g: Performance Tuning Exam
The Oracle 1z0-054: Oracle Database 11g: Performance Tuning exam is associated with certification for Oracle Database 11g Performance Tuning Certified Expert and OPN Certified Specialist. There are 85 individual items on the exam, and participants are given 135 minutes in which to complete it. A score of 64% is required to pass, although the exact percentage is subject to change.
Exam topics include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Basic Tuning Tools - Participants are required to diagnose performance issues using top wait events and the time model. They must use dynamic performance views to view statistics and wait events, and will be required to use Enterprise Manager Monitoring and to identify the key tuning components of the alert logs.
2. Identifying Problem SQL Statements - Participants who take this exam will be required to describe SQL statement processing, to view the SQL statement statistics to identify the SQL statements that perform poorly and to describe and use methods for Viewing Execution Plans.
3. Influencing the Optimizer - Exam participants will be asked to describe the optimizer's behavior and to adjust parameters to influence the optimizer. They will also be required to influence the optimizer (access methods, join techniques and adjustment of data structures. )
4. Tuning the Buffer Cache - Participants should know how to describe the buffer cache architecture.
