Oracle 1z0-046 : Oracle Database 10g: Managing Oracle on Linux for Database Administrators Exam
The Oracle 1z0-046: Oracle Database 10g: Managing Oracle on Linux for Database Administrators exam is part of the Oracle Certification Program. Its associated certification is for the Oracle Database 10g: Managing Oracle on Linux Certified Expert position. There are 63 individual questions on the exam. Participants are allowed 105 minutes in which to complete it. A score of at least 65% is needed in order to pass this exam. The score number is subject to change.
Exam topics include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Exam participants are expected to interpret Linux kernel version information, to identify a tainted kernel, to use common Linux commands and to write a simple bash shell script.
2. Automatic Storage Management - Exam candidates will be asked to install and initialize Automatic Storage Management Library Driver (ASMLib). They are also tested to mark disks for ASMLib. Candidates will also be required to mark disks for ASMLib.
3. Creating a Database - Exam participants will be required to create an Oracle database that uses ASM. They will also be asked to identify the location of various Oracle files and to implement OS authentication.
4. Customizing Oracle on Linux - Exam participants will be required to create automated startup/shutdown scripts.
