Oracle 1Z0-007 : Introduction to Oracle9i SQL Exam
Exam Oracle 1Z0-007: Introduction to Oracle9i SQL is a 52-item certification exam. Participants are given 120 minutes to complete it, and must answer 71% of the questions to pass. Associated certifications are Oracle91 DBA OCA, Oracle 10g DBA OCA, Oracle 11g DBA OCA and PL/SQ Developer OCA.
Oracle Database: Introduction to SQL (Bundle) or Oracle Database: SQL Fundamentals are recommended study tools for this exam. Other valid exam preparation tools that may be useful are Introduction to Oracle9i; SQL, Oracle Database 10g: Introduction to SQL and Oracle Database 10g; SQL Fundamentals I. Oracle Database Introduction to SQL class covers other topics that are not on this examination.
The 1Z0-007 exam includes, but is not limited to, the following topics:
1. Writing Basic SQL Select Statements - Exam participants are asked to list the Capabilities of SQL SELECT statements, to execute a basic SELECT statement and to differentiate between SQL statement and iSQL *Plus commands.
2. Restricting and Sorting Data - Exam participants are asked to limit the rows that are retrieved by a query and to sort the rows retrieved by a query.
3. Sub-Queries - Participants are asked to describe the different types of problems that sub-queries can solve and to offer a complete definition of sub-queries. They should have the ability to list the different types of sub-queries and to write single-row and multiple-row sub-queries as well.
