The Oracle 11g DBA OCM (Oracle Database 11g Administrator Certified Master) certification is intended to validate the extensive and developed skills of DBAs in handling 11g projects and daily operations. This certification demonstrates the candidate's ability to not only complete essential tasks like daily maintenance and troubleshooting, but also the candidate's expertise in configuring, deploying and integrating 11g databases in any business environment.
To achieve the OCM Database 11g Administrator certification, candidates must complete multiple steps. The first requirement for certification is holding a prior, valid certification as an Oracle Certified Professional. The next step is the completion of two Oracle approved courses covering advanced 11g Administrator subject matter. The next step in the certification path is to pass the Oracle Database 11g Certified Master Exam (11g OCM).
The final steps required for closing out the certification path is for candidates to complete and submit three Oracle forms: one to report each of the completed, Oracle approved training courses and one that is a "Fulfillment Kit Request" form.
