Network Appliance NS0-502 : NetApp Certified Implementation Engineer - SAN, 7-Mode Exam
The exam number for the NetApp Certified Implementation Engineer SAN, 7 Mode test is NS0-502. A candidate who plans on taking this exam must have 6 to 12 months of experience in planning, implementing and validating end to end SAN solutions for customers in FC and iSCSI environments.
The Network Appliance NS0-502 test will contain an approximate range of 70 test questions, and a candidate will be allotted 90 minutes to complete the test. Online practice exams will be made available to candidates to prepare, and candidates are encouraged to enroll in the following courses: SAN Fundamentals on Data ONTAP, SAN Design, SAN Implementation/Switch Configuration, and Unified Connect Technical Overview and Implementation.
Topics that will be covered on this exam include how to collect deduplication, backup and retention information, plan storage controller configuration, plan Host configuration - ALUA configuration, create snapshot plan, and plan Ethernet switch configuration, amongst other topics.
A significant portion of the Network Appliance NS0-502 test will be devoted to testing a candidate's knowledge of Configuration Information Collection. A candidate will need to know how to configure information for NetApp Storage Systems, Switch, Power, Host, and various other applications. SAN Implementation Testing will also comprise a portion of the exam.
