Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA) certifications are designed to allow high school and college students to validate their professional skills and begin their advancement in professional credentials even prior to graduation. MTA certifications are available to validate a range of knowledge and skills in entry level technologies.
Available MTA certifications are split into two primary Categories: Microsoft Developer certifications and IT Professional certifications. Within the developer category, candidates can become certified in software, Windows, and web design among other focus areas. Each certification requires the completion of one Microsoft certification exam covering the specific topic of the certification.
The same is true for the MTA certifications offered in the IT Professional category. A single exam must successfully be completed for each certification and candidates can earn an MTA in networking, security, windows server administration, and Windows operating system administration.
