The MRP (Alcatel-Lucent Mobile Routing Professional) certification is an advanced credential that validates IT professionals' knowledge and skills with the design and deployment of IP and/or MPLS services and networks. Through earning this certification, IT professionals document their ability to create and implement reliable and customized mobile routing options and services.
The MRP (Alcatel-Lucent Mobile Routing Professional) certification requires the successful completion of several exams, and is often chosen as an advancement certification for IT professionals that already hold the more entry level NRS I and NRS II certifications.
In order to achieve the MRP, candidates must take the following exams:
4A0-100 - Scalable IP Networks
4A0-101 - Interior Routing Protocols and High Availability
4A0-103 - Multiprotocol Label Switching
4A0-104 - Services Architecture
4A0-107 - Quality of Service
A0-M01 - IP/MPLS Mobile Backhaul Transport
4A0-M02 - Mobile Gateways for the LTE Evolved Packet Core
NRSII-4A - NRS II Lab
MRP-4A - MRP Lab
Before taking either lab exam, candidates must first pass one of the other exams at the comparable level. Training options are available for candidates who need them, and once all exams are successfully completed, the MRP certification is issued. It remains in effect for three years before a composite exam must be passed to renew the certification.
