Microsoft MB6-869 : Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Development Introduction Exam
The Microsoft MB6-869 (Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Development Introduction) examination will test the skills and knowledge related to the maintenance, support, and use of the AX 2012 product. It is designed for IT professionals who will be incorporating Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 development functionality processes in their organization. The exam is proctored and available in the English, Japanese, and Chinese languages.
Before taking the Microsoft MB6-869 exam it is suggested that candidates acquire hands-on experience using AX 2010 development functionality. Experience in object-oriented programming is also beneficial. Two training courses - Development I and Development II in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 - are available to take, either online or in a classroom setting. Participants must possess a strong understanding of the AX 2012 architecture components, including customization tools and key development functionality. Participants should be able to retrieve and manipulate data and work with queries within the database. The exam will also cover the management of different product components, including:
1. Objects and Classes. Participants must be experienced in working with X++ control statements and parameters, as well as objects, classes, and inheritance.
2. User Interface. The ability to manage forms and work with menus and menu items is required.
3. Data Dictionary. Participants must demonstrate knowledge of maps, views, relations, tables, base enumerations, and the AOT.
4. Security. Participants should understand security settings and concepts. Experience with task and role based security is required.
