The exam number for the PRO: Microsoft SharePoint 2010, Administrator test is 70-668. This proctored exam is available in 5 different languages, including English, German, and Japanese. The target audience for this exam is IT professionals, who are senior administrators who act as the technical lead over a team of administrators.

The ideal candidate for the Microsoft 70-668 test will have hands on experience with the products. There will be online tests for a candidate to utilize, and it is recommended that a candidate enroll in the LP668A: Learning Plan for Becoming a Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010 Administrator and 10231BD: Designing a Microsoft SharePoint 2010 Infrastructure preparation courses. Each of these classes will last 5 days in duration.

An example of one important topic that will appear on the Microsoft 70-668 test is Designing a SharePoint 2010 Farm Topology. This portion of the test will gauge a candidate's ability to design physical architecture, design SharePoint integration with network infrastructure, plan for sandbox solutions, plan for availability, and design logical taxonomy, amongst other topics.
