Microsoft 70-573 : TS: Microsoft SharePoint 2010, Application Development Exam
The Microsoft 70-573: TS: Microsoft SharePoint 2010, Application Development certification exam is being offered by Microsoft. This exam will allow developers to demonstrate their skills with tasks that involve developing applications on the Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010 platform. Candidates for this certification should have one year of experience with ASP.NET 3.5 using Visual Studio 2008 or later versions, six months of experience in developing applications with SharePoint 2007 or later versions, and at least three months experience with SP 2010 and VS2010, including Beta releases. This exam is only available in English at this time.
In terms of exam topics, the Microsoft 70-573 exam will include questions that require knowledge of working with the SharePoint user interface, developing Web parts and controls, principles of developing business logic, stabilizing and deploying SharePoint components. Other topics that derived from on the job experience, classroom training, and learning plans are also subject to be included on the exam.
To aid in preparation for this exam, Microsoft Learning recommends that candidates utilize the tools and resources that are designated for this exam and certification category. Upon achieving a passing score on the Microsoft 70-573 exam, candidates will have completed the eligibility criteria for the MCTS: SharePoint 2010, Application Development certification. This same passing score can also be counted as credit toward the MCPD: SharePoint Developer 2010 certification.
