Although previous experience as an IT professional is recommended before taking the 70-229 exam, Microsoft Learning also recommends each potential exam taker complete a training course before taking the exam. The training course "2071B: Querying Microsoft SQL Server 2000 with Transact-SQL" is recommended for the 70-229 exam to add to the hands-on experience that exam candidates should already have.
