Remaining competitive and current in their field is what IT professionals achieve when they earn one of the MCSA Windows 8 Certifications available through Microsoft. This certification is designed for updating skills in dealing with desktop computers and other devices that require Windows 8 operating system knowledge.
There are two certification paths available for those who wish to achieve their MCSA Windows 8 certification. For IT professionals just beginning their formal certification path, two Microsoft exams are required to earn the MCSA Windows 8 certification: (1) Configuring Windows 8 (70-687), and (2) Managing and Maintaining Windows 8 (70-688).
For those that hold a prior certification as an MCITP Enterprise Desktop Administrator or Support Technician, and those that have earned their MCSA Windows 7 certification can upgrade to the MCSA Windows 8 by completing just one certification exam, the Upgrading Your Skills to MCSA Windows 8 (70-689).
