IBM LOT-801 : Lotus Notes Domino 8 Application Development Update Exam
Passing the IBM LOT-801 (IBM Lotus Notes Domino 8 Application Development Update) exam is necessary to obtain IBM Certified Application Developer - Lotus Notes and Domino 8 AND IBM Certified Advanced Application Developer - Lotus Notes and Domino 8 status. There are 60 questions which must be answered in 105 minutes, with at least 75% of them correct for a passing score. There are 60 scored items and 4 unscored items. Registration should be made via the Prometric website.
To identify current skill level and readiness for the IBM LOT-801 examination, a Web-based assessment is available using the Prime tool. Training resources include the exam guide (not optional), practical experience (also not optional), a classroom course "Exploring New Features in IBM Lotus Domino Designer 8". Two IBM online courses are also available, although not obligatory, and some online courses are available through other vendors. Self-test software is valuable, as Redbook SG24-7367-00, "Building Composite Applications". It is also recommended that applicants utilize the web resource, "Building composite applications for Lotus Notes V8.0 with IBM Education Assistant.
Five competencies are on this multiple-choice test, each with its subcompetencies. All competencies and some of each one's subcompetencies are listed here:
1. The Composite Applications topic involves understanding advantages and structure of composite applications, describing the planning of a composite application, and the deployment of a composite application.
2. The candidates must have the ability to identify and use new database property settings, new view column options, and utilize new styles of Rich Text Lite fields.
3. Covered under Programming Enhancements topic are recognizing and using new @Commands and parameters, new @functions, new web URL commands, LotusScript classes and language changes, and new Java support features.
