IBM COG-701 : Cognos TM1 10.1 Analyst Exam
The IBM COG-701 (IBM Cognos TM1 10.1 Analyst) exam is a requisite for IBM Certified Specialist - Cognos TM1 10.1 Data Analysis certification. Ninety minutes are allowed for completing the 60-question test, and a minimum score of 61% is necessary to pass. The exam is available only in English and applicants may register at the Prometric website to take it.
A 3-day classroom course is recommended, or an alternative instructor-led online course, IBM Cognos TM1: Analyze and Share Data (v10.1) ILO is available. A sample or assessment test is also available in PDF format on the IBM testing website. This sample test is for the purpose of giving candidates an overview of the content and format of the questions on the certification test. Applicant's performance on this practice test does NOT indicate probable performance on the certification exam, and should not be thought of an assessment tool.
Three main topics and their associated subtopics are covered by the test. They are as follow:
1. The TM1 user interfaces topic include demonstrating knowledge of TM1 perspectives, cube views, when to use TM1 Web, describing TM1 application web, describing Cognos insight, and describing data entry mechanisms.
2. TM1 architectural concepts are tested by describing basic server configuration, demonstrating knowledge of TM1 Objects, describing security concepts, and describing the reasons for using TM1 as a data source for other products.
3. TM1 Functional Knowledge is exhibited by demonstrating knowledge of how to analyze data, describing how to use cube views, explaining how to use subsets, and how to create and deploy reports and templates.
