IBM COG-605 : IBM Cognos 10 Controller Developer Exam
The IBM COG-605 (IBM Cognos 10 Controller Developer) is a two-hour exam created as an assessment for candidates who are on track to earn certification as an IBM Certified Developer-Cognos 10 Controller. Exam participants will validate their knowledge of the processes involved in establishing Controller applications by creating company and account structures and setting up consolidation processes (e.g. currency conversion, subsidiary investments, and inter-company transactions). The ability to apply this knowledge in order to design and generate reports for the purpose of financial analysis will also be assessed. A minimum score of 65% is required for achieving a passing score and fulfilling this portion of the certification process.
The 94 questions on the COG-605 exam will include the following sample topics: Create Company Structures, Create Account Structures, Set up General Configuration, Enable Data Entry and Data Import, Create Journals and Closing Versions, Prepare for Currency Conversion, Configure and Control Tables, Eliminate and Reconcile Inter-company transactions and acquisitions, Consolidate a Group's Reported Values, Secure the Application and the Data, and Create Reports to Analyze Data. Within each topic area, the examinee should expect to identify and/or describe more specific concepts.
Exam content will be gathered from a combination of classroom based learning material and hands-on experience working with the specific products. To ensure optimum readiness for the COG-605 exam, candidates are encouraged to review IBM's classroom course, product documentation, self-paced virtual classroom course and sample assessment test that are paired with this certification category.
