IBM COG-500 : IBM Cognos 8 Analytic Applications Developer Exam
IBM is pleased to offer the COG-500 (IBM Cognos 8 Analytic Applications Developer) certification exam to individuals who are seeking the IBM Certified Developer-Cognos 8 Analytic Applications title. During this 90-minute exam, candidates will have the opportunity to display and apply their knowledge as it relates to creating, configuring, maintaining and extending IBM Cognos Analytic Applications using the IBM Cognos Adaptive Application Framework. A required passing score of 65% is necessary for earning certification. This exam is being presented in English only at this time.
The COG-500 consists of 60 questions and includes topics such as fundamental knowledge of Cognos 8, adaptive application framework overview, adaptive warehouse, and adaptive analytics. Sample topics to be prepared to address also include demonstrating basic knowledge of IMB Cognos 8 administration, demonstrating knowledge of Source and Warehouse modeling, Data Flow modeling, AW Target modeling, describing Load Management concepts, describing how to create analytic reports, and demonstrating knowledge of Operational reports and project administration.
IBM offers learning resources to help candidates prepare for certification. In addition to hands-on work experience, candidates are invited to review these learning tools and sample/assessment tests in order to be adequately prepared for the certification process. Recommended training tools associated with this certification include a variety of IBM Cognos 8 classroom and self paced virtual classroom courses.
