IBM COG-300 : IBM Cognos TM1 Analyst Exam
The IBM COG-300 (IBM Cognos TM1 Analyst) test is a 60-minute assessment that is designed to test the candidate's understanding of key concepts, technological features, and functionality of IBM Cognos TM1 enterprise planning software. Exam participants who meet or exceed the required passing score of 76% will have satisfied the criteria for the IBM Certified Specialist-Cognos TM1 Data Analysis certification. Exam topics will cover material related to components of TM1, dimensions and cubes, cube views, data manipulation, subsets, and templates and reports.
The COG-300 exam, which is only available in English, will require the candidate identify and/or describe concepts within the following sample topics: Identify components of the TM1, Describe how dimensions and elements relate to cubes in TM1, Identify the use of cube views and where they can be created, identify the benefits of creating dynamic views, Describe data spreading and data holding techniques, Identify ways to focus data in a cube, Identify the appropriate use of a snapshot or slice, Identify techniques for presenting data in a spreadsheet, and how to make reports available for public consumption.
As part of the exam preparation process, IBM recommends that candidates utilize a combination of training materials and hands-on work experience. IBM is offering a classroom course, product documentation, self-paced virtual classroom, and a sample assessment that corresponds to this certification exam.
