IBM 000-610 : DB2 10.1 Fundamentals Exam
To prepare for the IBM 000-610 (DB2 10.1 Fundamentals) exam, candidates have many options available to them. If the candidate is interested in having an instructor to guide their preparation, they can take either the "DB2 Family Fundamentals " or "SQL Workshop" courses. Both courses have the option to take them either in the classroom or online. If a candidate would rather prepare for the 000-610 exam through self study, the "DB2 Family Fundamentals - Web-Based" and "SQL Workshop - SPVC" courses can help prepare them. Taking any of these courses is entirely optional.
During the 90 minute exam, candidates will be required to score at least 66% to pass. The IBM 000-610 exam is available only in English, and covers planning, security, working with databases and database objects, working with DB2 data using SQL, working with DB2 tables, views and indexes, and data concurrency. Candidates are expected to have a thorough understanding of basic to intermediate level tasks that are required to perform administration and basic SQL. To successfully pass the 000-610, candidates must demonstrate the ability to create databases and prove that they have a thorough understanding of database security and transaction isolation.
