IBM 000-561 : IBM Security Network Intrusion Prevention System V4.3 Implementation Exam
The IBM 000-561 (IBM Security Network Intrusion Prevention System V4.3 Implementation) examination contains fifty questions and is ninety minutes in duration. In order to receive certification associated with the examination, an applicant must receive a grade of a seventy percent or better to pass. The test is administered exclusively in the English language.
Applicants must exhibit a vast knowledge of the concepts, practices and methods necessary when employing one of these systems. They should know how to properly manage all of the IBM security components and how to correctly deploy the solutions in different environments.
Applicants will be tested on various topics and subtopics to demonstrate their understanding of the IPS and PAM systems and their differences. Emphasis is placed upon certain topics, such as: reviewing the protocols for a PAM module and understanding the different PAM modules that exist, understanding what IPS appliances are available for businesses, and proposing the best module to suit the consumer's specific needs. Test takers must also demonstrate how to determine the scope and sizing for deployment of a system, and how to engineer the best appliance placement and mode.
