IBM 000-555 : IBM Informix Dynamic Server 11.50 Fundamentals Exam
The IBM 000-555 (IBM Informix Dynamic Server 11.50 Fundamentals) examination consists of sixty questions and is ninety minutes in length. To receive the associated certification, an applicant must score sixty-one percent or better on the exam. The test is available in the English language only.
Applicants interested in pursuing this certification must possess the skills to administer one or more database servers at a time. They will exhibit the ability to properly initialize and configure a database server and test a client's connectivity. Applicants must demonstrate the ability to manage and configure memory along with disk usage, and implement system maintenance plans.
The applicant must possess a strong knowledge and understanding of all material on the exam prior to taking the certifying examination. The exam objectives, or topics, are: planning and installation, security procedures, storage objects and DBMS objectives, data concurrency, demonstrating the proper backup and restore procedures, describing the purpose of various replication technologies, and describing how IDS tables, indexes and views work. Persons taking this examination will demonstrate a thorough knowledge of IDS Data when it is utilizing SQL.
Multiple related subtopics of the various test topics will also be addressed, so knowledge of these is also urgently necessary for success on this examination.
