IBM 000-544 : DB2 9.7 Advanced DBA for LUW Exam
The IBM 000-544 (DB2 9.7 Advanced DBA for LUW) examination consists of fifty-three questions and is ninety minutes long. In order to pass this certifying examination, applicants must score at least sixty-two percent on the test. The exam is available in the English language only.
In preparation for the IBM 000-544 exam, applicants may choose to take an associated course, This course is strictly voluntary, and is not required. Before going into the examination, applicants should have a solid understanding of the features and functions of the DB2 9.7 database for all operating systems. A thorough knowledge of the different partitions when placing the database in different operating systems, as well designing the database, managing its performance, and utilizing different tools that assist in tuning and monitoring the database.
There are various topics and subtopics, on which applicants will be tested. The primary topics are divided to determine the final score on the exam. These are as follow: basics of database design, clustering and data partitioning, diagnostics and high availability, scalability and performance, networking and connectivity, and security. Various, more in-depth subsections will also be present.
