IBM 000-543 : DB2 9.7 Application Development Exam
The IBM 000-543 (DB2 9.7 Application Development) examination consists of 60 questions and is ninety minutes in length. Persons taking the examination must obtain a passing grade of sixty percent or greater in order to be certified in this particular IT field. The test is available in the English language only.
Students may choose from a variety of courses in preparation for the examination. Even though it is not required that applicants complete a course, it is highly recommended. Such courses will teach students the skills needed in order to successfully produce application programs with the capability to be manipulated onto various DB2 databases. Students must be able to embed SQL statements into C programs, preparing programs for effective execution.
The IBM 000-543 examination will certify that an applicant has the knowledge and skills necessary to build, design, deploy, and execute all DB2 9.7 database applications.
There are various topics that will be covered on the examination to test an applicant's knowledge.
Some of these are database objects, data manipulation tactics, XML manipulation onto databases, advanced programming, and core concepts of a DB2 9.7 database.
