HRCI PHR : Professional in Human Resources Exam
The HRCI PHR: Professional in Human Resources exam is designed for HR professionals with a focus upon program implementation. In order to be successful on this exam, it is recommended that a candidate have 2-4 years of experience in all HR disciplines. The exam will certify that a candidate has a tactical and logistical orientation.
The HRCI PHR exam is going to contain 175 multiple choice questions, and a candidate will be allotted 180 minutes in which to complete the test. If a candidate has a Master's degree, then he or she must also have 1 year of professional HR experience in order to take the test. If the candidate only possesses a bachelor's degree, then he or she will need to have 2 years of demonstrated experience.
One of the most significant portions of this test is going to be devoted to testing a candidate's knowledge of Workforce Planning and Employment. Examples of subtopics that will appear in this category of the test include budgeting and accounting practices related to compensation and benefits, job pricing and pay structures, pay programs, and external labor markets and economic factors.
The other 5 primary portions of this test will be devoted to covering Business Management and Strategy, Human Resource Development, Compensation and Benefits, Employee and Labor Relations, and Risk Management.
