Most candidates that pursue the Hitachi Data Systems Certified Architect certification work either for Hitachi Data Systems or its authorized partners. Architects are responsible for the assessment of data storage requirements and the planning, design and deployment of appropriate storage solutions. As such, the Hitachi Data Systems Certified Architect certification is available in three focus areas: NAS, Performance and Business Continuity. Each provides architects a chance to validate their skill set in devising appropriate storage solutions to meet particular business challenges and needs.
To earn the Hitachi Data Systems Certified Architect certification in one of these three focus areas, candidates must pass a single certification exam. Expert level architect certification is also available, though candidates must pass not only their focus-area specific exam but also the SNIA Architect - Assessment, Planning and Design exam as well to elevate their qualifications to the expert architect certification level.
Training is recommended, though not required for passing the Hitachi Data Systems Certified Architect exam. Candidates with hands on experience in their focus area are also more likely to achieve a passing score on their exam.
