GIAC GSLC : GIAC Security Leadership Exam
Targeted towards information security professionals with previous supervisory or managerial experience, the GIAC GSLC: GIAC Security Leadership exam is a proctored exam that can last as long as four hours. Successful candidates achieve a score of 68.7% on the 150 questions in order to pass and receive certification. All certifications from the GSLC exam must be renewed every four years.
Much of the GIAC GSLC exam is devoted to testing the candidate's ability to be an effective manager. Concepts such as managerial wisdom and ethics are tested, as are the candidate's knowledge of managing intellectual property, managing IT business and program growth within a globalized market, managing legal liability, managing negotiations, managing PDA infrastructure, managing privacy, managing security policy, managing software security, and managing the total cost of ownership.
The candidate's basic technical knowledge will also be tested. Among the concepts that the GSLC exam candidate should have a mastery of are the advantages of wireless and bluetooth, web communications and security, 802.11, and computer and network addressing.
