GIAC GCPM : GIAC Certified Project Manager Exam
The GIAC GCPM: GIAC Certified Project Manager exam and certification has been designed to showcase a candidate's knowledge of technical project management methodology and implementation. The critical skill sets that are needed to pass this exam will often be the determining factor in whether or not a project succeeds or fails.
In order to prepare for the exam, a candidate is encouraged to enroll in the SANS training course: MGT525: IT Project Management, Effective Communication, and PMP® Exam Prep. This exam is proctored, and it will contain a range of approximately 150 questions. A candidate will be provided with a time limit of 4 hours in which to complete the exam. In order to pass, he or she will need to obtain a minimum score of 70%.
There will be a number of topics that will appear on the GIAC GCPM exam. An example of such a topic is Direct and Manage Execution. Here, a candidate will need to demonstrate an understanding of directing and managing the execution of project work.
Examples of other topics that a candidate can expect to see on this exam will include Estimate Activity Durations, Executing Process Group, Develop Project Charter, and Initiating Process Group. Other related content may appear on the exam.
