Exin MOFF : Microsoft ® Operations Framework Foundation Exam
The Exin MOFF Microsoft Operations Framework Foundation examination/certification program is a computer-based multiple choice test that includes 40 questions in a 60 minute timeframe. Information will relate to the MOF guidance, consisting of best practices and approaches to IT service management. A score of 65% is required to successfully pass.
To prepare for the Exin MOFF exam, candidates can read the Microsoft Operations Framework 4.0 pocket guide and download an official set of practice questions. Documentation and guides to MOF framework are available at the Microsoft website. It is highly suggested that candidates have ample practical experience in Operations Management before taking this exam. The exam is available in the English and German languages.
Three phases will be discussed on the Exin MOFF exam: the Plan phase, the Operate phase, and the Deliver phase. Participants should be knowledgeable of each (including terminology and concepts) and should understand the relationship between phases. The Plan phase will test knowledge of business/IT alignment, policy, and reliability. The Operate phase will test knowledge of operations, service monitoring, problem management, and customer service. The Deliver phase will test knowledge of project planning, envisioning, building, deployment, etc.
Participants should also be familiar with the aspects of the Manage Layer, the IT Service Life Cycle, and the Service Management Function.
