EMC E22-290 : EMC Data Domain Deduplication, Backup and Recovery Exam
The EMC E22-290 (EMC Data Domain Deduplication, Backup and Recovery) exam is a 90-minute, 60-question test that will ask questions regarding the installation, administration, and integration of EMC Data Domain systems. It is only available in the English language and will fulfill a requirement for the EMC Data Domain Backup and Recovery Specialist certification.
Candidates can prepare for the EMC E22-290 exam by enrolling in any of four training courses, which cover specific aspects of Data Domain that will be found on the exam. In addition, an online training course is provided for further studying purposes. It is highly suggested that candidates take advantage of these resources, as they will most likely result in a passing score on the exam.
The following areas of knowledge will be tested:
1. System Preparation and Installation - Participants must demonstrate the ability to prepare a Data Domain system for installation and perform initial configurations, including configuring network for administrative access and verifying interoperability.
2. System Implementation - Using application software, participants will be asked to implement the Data Domain system to a backup server. Participants must be able to validate the backup/recovery functions and DD Boost in Symantec NetBackup and Backup Exec environments.
3. System Administration - Participants should be able to implementing a Data Domain system with key technologies, monitor system activity and performance, and analyze space utilization and storage burn rate.
