EMC E20-885 : VNX Solutions Expert Exam for Implementation Engineers Exam
The EMC E20-885 (VNX Solutions Expert Exam for Implementation Engineers) exam for Implementation Engineers is the qualifying exam for the VNX Implementation Engineer Expert certification. It is a 2-hour, 60-question exam that will cover knowledge of VNX Unified integration, performance, and replication technologies.
Several training courses and materials are available in preparation for the EMC E20-885 examination, including many online and video instructor-led training courses reviewing knowledge of VNX Unified concepts and related technologies. Three e-learning courses are also available, as well as an official practice test. The exam can only be taken in the English language.
Participants should be knowledgeable of VNX Unified Storage Integration with four different programs:
1. Exchange - Participants should be aware of the best practices for sizing a database, restoring databases and availability groups, and implementing software components.
2. Microsoft SQL - Participants should understand an optimal LUN and RAID layout, architecture of fabric topology, and best practices for implementation.
3. Oracle - Participants should be able to measure and size aspects of the Oracle architecture and define best implementation practices.
4. VMware vSphere - Participants must know aspects of Fibre Channel, iSCSI, and NFS connectivity, specifics of migrating/expanding virtual machine storage, and multi-pathing.
In addition, participants will be asked questions related to Remote Protection using Replicator and MirrorView and performance, including Block and File performance tools, File AVM functionality, and performance implications.
