EMC E20-390 : VNX Solutions Specialist Exam for Implementation Engineers Exam
The focus of the EMC E20-390 (VNX Solutions Specialist Exam for Implementation Engineers) is the knowledge and activities involved in implementing VNX Series block based storage SAN solutions and File based NAS solutions in heterogeneous virtualized open systems environments. Specifically, the focus is on FC, iSCSI, FCoE, NFS, and CIFS. This exam is a qualifying one for the VNX Solutions Implementation Engineer Specialist track.
The potential test taker will need to have a working knowledge of all of the following products: VNX Unified storage systems, VNX OE for Block 5.31, VNX SnapView, VNX Local Protection Suite, VNX Application Protection Suite, VNX OE for File 7.0, VNX SnapSure, and VNX Remote Protection Suite. Additionally, the exam candidate will need to understand the functions of FAST VP, PowerPath, FAST Cache, and Thin Provisioning.
Through questions about implementing VNX Security, exam participants will be tested on their knowledge of configuring LDAP/AD Security, configuring and auditing authentication with VNX Control Station, and configuring Usermapper. Through questions on block storage provisioning and management, exam candidates will need to prove their knowledge of configuring RAID groups, traditional LUNs, pools, pool LUNs, and metal UNs.
Additional questions on the EMC E20-390 exam test the participant's knowledge of managing host access to block storage and file storage. Remaining sections test the candidate's skills in advanced file storage features, VNX protection suites, and VNX installation and maintenance.
