EMC E20-005 : Backup Recovery Systems and Architecture Exam
The EMC E20-005 (Backup Recovery Systems and Architecture) exam qualifies passing candidates for three EMC Proven Professional Backup and Recovery tracks: Technology Architect, Implementation Engineer, and Storage Administrator. Each candidate for the E20-005 exam is given 90 minutes to complete the 60 questions.
The EMC E20-005 exam covers concepts and technologies which are used in backup and recovery environments. The technologies covered on the exam include, but are not limited to, EMC Net Worker, EMC HomeBase, EMC Data Domain, EMC Data Protection Advisor, EMC Avamar, and VMware.
To successfully pass the exam, candidates will have to possess a full understanding of procedures related to backup, including backup theory, storage node, and recovery planning. Questions will examine the candidate's knowledge of products in the EMC Backup and Recovery Portfolio, protocols and methods when using backup data, components related to storage node, and general backup terminology and architecture.
Additionally, exam takers will need to have a complete understanding of information storage concepts, such as RAID levels, SAN components, NAS components, and continuous data protection. Expert knowledge in storage system features which are used in backup and recovery will be expected of the successful candidate as well.
EMC offers a training course, Backup Recovery Systems and Architecture, as well as seven eLearning courses. Although the candidate should have experience working with backup and recovery in their professional career, EMC recommends taking one of the training courses, too.
