Server and system administrators, security testers, and risk assessment professionals are all welcome to earn the EDRP (EC-Council Disaster Recovery Professional) certification. The support of business functions will be at the forefront as individuals in this job role prepare for a recovery from a major attack on or intrusion of network infrastructure. Participants will be responsible for creating a complete disaster recovery plan that includes policy creation and risk assessment and understanding the relationships between members and jobs within an organization.
In order to successfully pass the exam and earn the certification, knowledge of common and current disaster recovery mechanisms and technologies, functional processes, data processing, data and voice telecommunication, and project management is essential. The EDRP test (Prefix 312-76) can be passed with a score of 70%. The 50 multiple choice questions must be answered, in an online format, at a Prometric testing center.
Common security processes and methods, including those related to preventing risks and taking other defensive cautionary measures, should be known before taking this exam. On-the-job experience is highly recommended. An EC-Council training course and other training resources are available for purchase.
