ECCouncil 312-50v7 : Ethical Hacking and Countermeasures (CEHv7) Exam
The ECCouncil 312-50v7 Ethical Hacking and Countermeasures examination is comprised of 150 multiple choice questions that must be answered in a 4-hour period. Candidates can earn the Certified Ethical Hacker 7 certification by answering 70% of the questions correctly. The exam is only available in English and can be taken online (via Prometric Prime), or at any authorized Prometric or VUE testing center.
As a part of the CEH program, candidates can take an online or instructor-led classroom training course. Guides, practice tests, training videos, and course details can all be found online for added preparation. A complete course outline can also be viewed. It is highly suggested that all candidates review these materials before taking the exam.
Participants will be required to understand several different aspects of ethical hacking, including scanning networks, Trojans and backdoors, viruses and worms, and cryptography. Participants must explain system, wireless network, and web application hacking, and understand the concept of session hijacking. Enumeration, social engineering, and denial of service attacks should be understood, while attack tools and Intrusion Detection Systems should be identified and described.
