ECCouncil 312-50 : Ethical Hacking and Countermeasures Exam (CEH) Exam
The ECCouncil 312-50 Ethical Hacking and Countermeasures examination consists of 150 questions (multiple choice) that must be answered within the given 4-hour timeframe. The exam is required to receive the CEH certification and can be taken online or at any one of the authorized Prometric and VUE testing centers around the world.
Features and measures of ethical hacking will be tested; specific details should be known. In preparation of the ECCouncil 312-50 exam candidates can take advantage of program training materials, including online and instructor-led training courses, self-study CEH textbooks and exam guides, computer-based training videos, and an official practice test. A full exam/program outline is also available to review. A passing score of 70% is required. The exam is only available in English.
Participants must display knowledge of the components and processes of ethical hacking. Aspects of system hacking, webserver/application hacking, SQL injection, and session hijacking should be known and easily described. Participants should understand Intrusion Detection Systems and firewall identification techniques. Details of cryptography (tools, algorithms, encryption), network scanning, and footprinting will also be tested.
