Advanced wireless security skills will be confirmed with the CWSP (CWNP Certified Wireless Security Professional). It is a second-level specialty certification that can only be earned once the Certified Wireless Network Administrator certification has been obtained. With it, individuals will have validated their ability to implement a wireless security policy and protect a network from intrusions.
Once the CWNA certification has been earned, by passing either the PW0-104 or PW0-105 exam, candidates must get a passing score of 70% on the PW0-205 examination. The 60 question test will go over the processes to combat security threats to a WLAN in an enterprise environment. Such things as threat assessment, monitoring and tracking, and security policy will be covered, while the design and architecture of security solutions will comprise the bulk of the exam.
CWNP offers many helpful preparation resources to use before taking this exam. The authentic study guide and practice test will give individuals great insight into the questions that will be asked on the exam. Participants can also enroll in the instructor-led Enterprise Wi-Fi Security training class. These can be purchased, along with an exam voucher, on the CWNP website.
